Abstract

Nodular fibrous proliferation of the tunica vaginalis of the testis is an uncommon lesion. It has also been called a nodular fibrous pseudotumor, pseudofibromatous periorchitis, benign fibrous paratesticular tumor, and fibrous mesothelioma (pseudofibroma). It occurs between the testicular tunica and less commonly involves the spermatic cord and the epididymis. While these lesions are not strict neoplasms, they do form nodules and are often mistaken for neoplasm. The patient is a 20 year-old male who had incidentally found scrotal masses and underwent excision. There were several nodules along the testicular tunics which had bulging whitish-gray cut surface. A case of a fibrous pseudotumor is reported and the clinical presentation and histological findings described.
